LUCIANA KAPLAN

DIRECTOR

He has dedicated his career to the making, teaching and production of documentary film. She directed the post-production scholarships for Ambulante and was coordinator of the Documentary Film Course at the Cinematographic Training Center. Currently a fellow of the National System of Art Creators. His films have won the National Fund for Culture and endorsements of the Arts, Imcine and Eficine and many important awards around the world such as the Al Jazeera Documentary Award in Vancouver (2013) Best Documentary Film in Los Cabos Summer Film for the Eufrosina Revolution and Best Mexican Documentary Award at the Morelia Film Festival for Rush Hour (2017) among others. "La Vocera" is her third feature film with which she was the winner of the Sundance Luminate Grant. She is currently making her fourth documentary feature ¨Tratado de Invisibilidad¨.

MONICA LOZANO

PRODUCER

Recognized Mexican producer with more than 20 years of experience. Lozano was part of the Altavista Films team, a prolific production company that ventured into the most diverse film genres and established distribution and co-production alliances around the world, a mission that Lozano has continued at Alebrije Cine y Video. With more than 37 films, Mónica Lozano has produced and co-produced some of the most internationally recognized Mexican films in recent years, including Amores Perros (2000) by Alejandro González Iñárritu; Arráncame la vida (2007) by Roberto Sneider; Colosio: The Assassination of Carlos Bolado (2012); Returns are not accepted (2013) by Eugenio Derbez, What is the child's fault? By Gustavo Loza. (2016) and Dream in Another Language by Ernesto Contreras (2016).

CAROLINA COPPEL

PRODUCER

She is a film producer and human rights activist with experience fighting for the rights of indigenous women. She is a member of the Semillas Fund members' assembly and advisor to the CMPDDH board of directors. Founder of Olas Altas, a film production company based in Mexico City, whose goal is to create films and other forms of art that are socially relevant. Co-director of Casa Seminario 12, a cultural center that brings together people who work at the intersection of the arts, memory and the community. It was  director of Ambulante Más Allá, a training program for documentary production aimed at training new filmmakers from different corners of Mexico and Central America with limited access to the necessary tools to share their stories with a wide audience. He has worked for the United Nations Development Program and the WK Kellogg Foundation. He has a master's degree in Politics for Alternative Development.

EAMON OFARRILL

PRODUCER

Eamon has more than 20 years of experience in the film industry, his credits include more than 30 national and international titles that show a balance between independent and commercial feature films, also including several co-productions. His trajectory has allowed him to establish links with the productive industry at an international level, but mainly in Latin America and Spain. Eamon has participated in projects such as Apocalypto, The Mexican Suitcase, Carrière 250 metros, 2012, Chavez, The Obscure Spring, Tear This Heart Out, Y tu mama tambien, The Chosen, Solitude Square, I Dream in Another Language. He is currently co-producing “La Vocera”.
